Record broken of corona infection in Punjab, fast-growing new cases

In Punjab, a record 92 infected people lost their lives on Saturday. 5724 new cases of infection have been reported. The condition of 61 infected people admitted to various hospitals is becoming very serious. So far 8356 infected people have been killed in the state.

According to the Ministry of Health in Punjab, now samples of 6903246 people are being tested, out of which 332110 people have received positive reports. At the same time, 277189 infected people admitted to the hospital have become healthy. The number of active cases has reached 46565. 556 infected people have been put on oxygen support if they have trouble breathing. Of the 92 deaths in 19 districts on Saturday, 11 in Amritsar, 6 in Bathinda, 2 in Faridkot, 1 in Fatehgarh Sahib, 1 in Fazilka, 1 in Ferozpur, 8 in Gurdaspur, 5 in Hoshiarpur, 3 in Kapurthala, 6 in Jalandhar. There are 10 in Ludhiana, 2 in Moga, 11 in Mohali, 3 in Muktsar, 2 in Pathankot, 7 in Patiala, 3 in Ropar, 6 in Sangrur and 2 in Taran Taran.

Police Watch on Oxygen Plants: In view of the lack of oxygen and the possibility of black marketing, the monitoring of police has been increased on the installed oxygen plants in Punjab. Following the instructions of the state government, the Punjab Police has deployed policemen along with vehicles while transporting cylinders in addition to oxygen plants. That is, the movement of oxygen cylinders is also under the supervision of the police.

In the midst of the ever-increasing crisis of the coronavirus, there is a shortage of oxygen in the hospital of the state for the patients. CM Captain Amarinder Singh had recently written a letter to the central government and pointed out the lack of oxygen. After which the central government increased the oxygen quota of Punjab, but also connected Chandigarh with this quota, due to which the oxygen is not available to Punjab despite increasing the quota.
