Registration for children's vaccination to be done from January 1

New Delhi: India has taken another step forward in the fight against corona. Immunization of children between the ages of 15 and 18 begins in the country from January 3. Children, like adults, will have to register for the vaccine. Registration of children will also be on the CoWIN platform. National Health Authority CEO Dr. R.S. Sharma has informed that children between the ages of 15 and 18 can register for the vaccine from January 1.

Dr. R.S. Sharma has told the media that registration for vaccination of children between the ages of 15 and 18 will start from January 1 at CoWIN. A 10th mark sheet can also be installed for registration. He explained that since many children do not have Aadhaar or another ID card, the option of 10th marks list has also been added. PM Narendra Modi, addressing the nation on December 25, announced the introduction of vaccination of children between the ages of 15 and 18. The number of children between the ages of 15 and 18 is between 7 and 8 crores. They will now be given Bharat Biotech's Covaxin. The government has allowed the vaccine to use in emergencies on children between the ages of 12 and 18.

Bharat Biotech conducted a vaccine trial on children between the ages of 2 and 18 in June-July this year. The vaccine was proved effective in the trial. After vaccination, common side effects such as fever, bad pain, swelling in the injectable area can be seen. Along with the vaccine, the government has also given the green signal to Zayedus Cadila's Zycov-D. Zycov-D is for children over the age of 12. However, the country has not yet started to haveZycov-D.
