Reliance Jio launches 5G services in 10 more cities

Reliance Jio on February 7 launched   its True 5G services across 10 cities across 8 states of Andhra Pradesh,  Odisha, Punjab,Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan,  Uttar Pradesh, Telangana and Uttarakhand, with the total count of cities making to 236.

According to a Jio statement made on Tuesday, Jio users in these cities will be invited to the Jio Welcome Offer, which will allow them to start using unlimited data at rates of up to 1 Gbps for no extra charge.

A spoksman for Jio said, "In these 10 cities across eight states, we are pleased to launch Jio True 5G services. With this launch, Jio subscribers in 236 cities will be able to benefit in 2023 from Jio True 5G's game-changing features. These recently established True 5G towns are significant commercial and tourist centres as well as vital educational centres in our nation."

 The spokesperson for Jio claimed that once its True 5G services were available, consumers in the area would benefit from the best possible telecommunications network as well as limitless opportunities for growth in industries such as e-governance, education, automation, artificial intelligence, gaming, healthcare, agriculture, IT, and small and medium businesses (SMEs).

The telco aims to complete the 5G roll out by December 2023. Rival Bharti Airtel has said its 5G roll out will complete in March 2024.
