BJP-AIADMK walk out as Tamil Nadu Assembly passes resolution against agricultural laws

Chennai: The MK Stalin government of Tamil Nadu today introduced a resolution in the Assembly against the agricultural laws brought by the Center, which was passed by voice vote. According to the proposal, the Center has been requested to withdraw all three agriculture-related laws. However, during this, there was a lot of uproar in the assembly. In the assembly, CM MK Stalin said that "All the cases registered against the farmers who protested against the three agricultural laws of the central government during the last one year will be withdrawn."

During this, MLAs of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and AIADMK staged a walkout from the assembly, protesting the resolution against agricultural laws. The BJP and the AIADMK alleged that the resolution against the laws was moved in haste and the state government should have called an all-party meeting to know the farmers' opinion.

Let us inform you that since November last year, farmers have been agitating against the three new agricultural laws of the Center and are camping on the Delhi-Punjab border. During this, several rounds of discussions have also taken place between the government and farmer leaders, but no solution has been found so far. The farmers are adamant about the demand of the government to repeal all three agricultural laws.
