Richard Schiff shares health update while battling COVID

The West Wing star Richard Schiff was battling feeling "cautiously optimistic" after he was hospitalized for COVID-19 earlier this week. The Good Doctor star stated Monday he was hospitalized after coming in contact with coronavirus earlier this month. The duo Sheila Kelley was also tested positive.

 

The 65-year-old taking it to Twitter on Wednesday shares an update with fans about his health. Her tweeted writing, "Covid update. I was just taken off Oxygen!! Markers are down. Cautiously optimistic for release soon. Perhaps all the prayers and thoughts need a big thank you." His tweet ensured that Kelley is also "doing better," concluding it by saying, "Let's keep sending positivity to everyone out there struggling. We got your back!" In any case, you missed it, earlier by this month, Schiff announced that he and his wife got positive test results on Election Day, calling it the "most bizarre week of our lives." 

 

In a tweet, Schiff also said he was in the hospital taking the experimental drug Remdesivir, as well as oxygen and steroids. Later, Kelley later said her husband's battle had been especially difficult. On the work front, production of The Good Doctor has not been disturbed by the actor's diagnosis, Deadline reported last week only. The shooting schedule has been adjusted to support his inability to film. Kelley also has a recurring role on the show.
