Only Dalai Lama will choose his successor, years old tradition will continue

Dharamshala: Top Tibetan religious leaders gathered in Dharamsala have resolved that the choice of successor to the Dalai Lama will be made according to tradition and left to the Dalai Lama. He clearly said that China has no role in choosing the Dalai Lama. On Wednesday evening, a three-day Tibetan religious conference started by the Department of Religion and Culture of the Tibetan government in exile on Wednesday evening. It was attended by senior Buddhist lamas from around the world and leaders of the Tibet government in exile.

At the same time, sources say that a unanimous resolution was passed regarding the rebirth of the Dalai Lama. It said that the right to decide the next reincarnation of the Dalai Lama will be fully owned by the Dalai Lama. No government or another person will have any such right. If the Chinese government chooses a candidate for the Dalai Lama, the Tibetan people will neither respect nor recognize that candidate.

It was learned that through this conference, religious heads and representatives passed resolutions saying that the personnel bond between the Dalai Lama and the Tibetan people had been inseparable. The present situation of the Tibetan people is very important. All Tibetans truly wish for the continuation of the Dalai Lama's institution and rebirth in the future. Therefore, we strongly support him for the Dalai Lama.

800-year-old Tibetan Buddhist traditions will be discharged: According to information received from sources, senior Buddhist lamas said that 800-year-old Tibetan Buddhist traditions will only be discharged for Dalai Lama's rebirth. This method is in keeping with the original philosophy of the Buddha and started 800 years ago in Tibet.
