Kolkata: Amidst speculation of contesting elections in alliance with Trinamool Congress (TMC) and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) in West Bengal, 2 RJD leaders Abdul Bari Siddiqui and Shyam Razak yesterday met CM Mamata Banerjee's nephew Abhishek Banerjee in the capital Kolkata. According to the information, earlier on Sunday, Abdul Bari Siddhaki and Shyam Rajak, also met with election strategist Prashant Kishor. Abdul Bari Siddiqui and Shyam Rajak will submit a report on Bengal to Tejashwi Yadav in the next one week, after which it will be decided whether the Rashtriya Janata Dal in Bengal will form an alliance with the Trinamool Congress or will go to the polls alone. It is being told that the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) is planning to contest elections in the Hindi-speaking areas of West Bengal, especially in the border areas adjacent to Bengal and Bihar. Abdul Bari Siddhaki and Shyam Rajak are reaching Assam today, where the possibilities of RJD contesting elections will be discussed.
