Case filed against many Congressmen including former Uttarakhand CM Harish Rawat and three MLAs

Dehradun: A case has been registered against former Chief Minister Harish Rawat and 16 Congressmen, including Bhagwanpur, Kaliyar and Mangalore MLAs, for violating the guidelines of COVID-19 in the Tiranga Yatra in Roorkee of Uttarakhand. While the police have also registered a case against 150 unknown Congressmen.

It is marking the Congressmen involved in the former Chief Minister's Tiranga Yatra on the basis of police videos and photos. It is being told that the police can also include the names of many more Congressmen in the case on the basis of video. The Chief Minister Harish Rawat, along with Bhagwanpur MLA Mamta Rakesh, Mangalore MLA Qazi Nizamuddin and Kaliyar MLA Furkan Ahmed, took a Tiranga Yatra on bullock cart from Dhandera to Landaura on Saturday.

A large number of Congress workers took part in the yatra. It is being told that the guidelines regarding COVID-19 were not followed in the journey. The rules of social distance were dismantled. On this, the police have registered a case against former Chief Minister Harish Rawat, 16 MLAs including the three MLAs under the Disaster Management Act, Section 188 and other sections. Apart from this, 150 unknown Congressmen have also been nominated. SSP Senthil Abudai Krishnaraj has confirmed this. The case is now being investigated. The cases of corona are increasing continuously in the state, yet such cases can put the situation in more trouble.
