Mumbai: RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat has called for a need to speed up the work being done for women. Speaking at a book launch function in Nagpur, Bhagwat said women constitute 50 per cent of the country's population. Mohan Bhagwat further said that everyone speaks, this work should be done, but how will it happen? There should be some change in the system. Changes are taking place over time. But there is a need to increase the speed. "There should or should not be 30 per cent reservation. There is a dispute about this, but slowly everything is happening.'' Earlier, the RSS chief had also visited the centenary celebrations of Vidarbha Sahitya Sangh, an organisation of Marathi literature, in Nagpur on August 9. Here he said that one organization, one party, and one leader cannot bring change. They only help in doing so. Change happens when the common man stands up for it. India's freedom struggle started much earlier in 1857, but it succeeded only when people became aware and common people took to the streets. The RSS chief had said that not everyone had gone to jail. Some people had stayed away from it, but there was a feeling among everyone that the country should be free now. He had said that leaders do not make society, but society makes leaders. RSS wants Hindu society to be able to fulfil its responsibility. Everything happens by a change in society and RSS is organizing the society.
