RTI reveals Delhi's Arvind Kejriwal govt spend 150 crore Rs in advertisement

New Delhi: The national capital, Delhi, is reeling under a second wave of coronavirus. Meanwhile, on April 8, 2021, RTI revealed that the Arvind Kejriwal government has spent more than Rs 150 crore on advertisements through various means from January to March this year. RTI shared by Alok Bhatt, a Twitter user, revealed that Rs 32.52 crore was spent by the Kejriwal government on advertisements in January 2021, Rs 25.33 crore in February 2021, and Rs 92.48 crore in March 2021.

In a situation where the second wave of corona is destroying the health services of the national capital, the Kejriwal government has spent an average of Rs 1.67 crore every day on advertisements. The total expenditure has been incurred in advertising and publicity through print media, electronic media, and the internet. The Kejriwal government has spent more than Rs 800 crore in its publicity in the last two years. CM Arvind Kejriwal has also been heavily criticized for promoting his government through YouTube advertisements in April.

More importantly, at present, there is a terrible situation of corona in the capital region of the country. There is no oxygen in the hospitals and hospitals have refused to admit new patients.
