Russian country's Covid-19 response centre has informed due to the cold season the deadly pandemic has worsened and has registered 25,173 Covid-19 cases on November 23, a new all-time high, on Monday. The centre in its statement has informed the national tally of cases has grown to 21,14,502, including 36,540 deaths and 16,11,445 recoveries. The nation has confirmed 24,326 new cases on November 24 and death record of 491, increasing the toll to 2,138,828 and the death toll to 37.031. Moscow remains the country's worst-hit region, reported 6,866 new cases on the record high day, bringing the city's total to 5,60,579. So far, more than 73 million tests have been conducted in the country. Ministry of Digital Development has developed a contact tracing smartphone app which is now available on App Store and Google Play. The app, named as Gosuslugi COVID Treker, alerts users of possible exposure to the coronavirus using the Exposure Notification system developed by Apple and Google. Installation of the app remains voluntary. Residents of Perm and Voronezh are highly vulnerable to contract coronavirus within Russia, as per the analysis by the research arm of Russia’s dominant lender Sber.
