Sabudana khichdi is prepared with tomatoes, green chillies and potatoes. In which black pepper and rock salt are added for taste. Many people complain that their khichdi does not turn out well, that is because it is necessary to remove the starch present in sago, so let's know the method of making perfect khichdi.

Ingredients for Sabudana Khichdi:- Sabudana - 1 cup (150 grams) Boiled potatoes - 2 medium size Ghee or refined oil - 2-3 teaspoons Cumin seeds - 1 tsp Turmeric powder - less than 1/4 tsp Green chillies - 1-2 finely chopped Black pepper - 7-8 crushed Peanut grains - 1/2 cup roasted peeled Salt - 1 tsp Green coriander - 2-3 tbsp (finely chopped) Lemon - 1 small size

Method of making sabudana khichdi:

To make Khili-Khili Khichdi, first wash the Sabudana thoroughly. After that, soak the sago in a bowl of water for 5 to 6 hours so that it swells a bit. After the fixed time, take out the water of sago and wash it once again with water. Now put a nonstick pan on the gas and put ghee in it and heat it. (If you want, you can also use a cooker) When ghee or refined oil is get hot, add cumin according to the ingredients. As soon as the cumin seeds crackle, add green chillies and peanuts and fry them lightly. When the peanuts turn slightly golden, add turmeric and chili powder. After 1 minute add potatoes and mix, then add sago and stir well. When all the ingredients are mixed well, add rock salt on top according to taste. Now cover the khichdi with a plate and let it cook for 2-3 minutes. Stir with a spoon after the fixed time and keep the lid air tight. Your khichdi will be ready within 7-8 minutes. If you are making it in cooker then your khichdi will be ready in 2 whistles. Put Sabudana Khichdi in a plate and serve garnished with green coriander.
