MP: Sagar gets 2nd position in 100 smart cities

Sagar: Sagar city has also been named among the 100 smart cities being built in the country. Sagar has once again brought glory to Madhya Pradesh. In fact, this time round was three and Sagar has been ranked second in the entire country in this category of cities. Let us tell you that Dehradun has been ranked first in this category and Sagar has finished second in the tough competition. Urban Administration Minister Bhupendra Singh and Collector Sagar have congratulated Smart City Limited Sagar and the citizens of the city. Let me tell you that Madhya Pradesh has been ranked second in the country in the India Smart City Contest-2020. Five smart cities of MP have won a total of eleven awards in different categories in the competition.

Let us tell you that Indore has got the first position for sanitation and carbon credit financing mechanism with built environment theme. Bhopal has been ranked first in the Urban Environment theme for its outstanding work in the field of clean energy. Apart from this, the digital museum of Gwalior has also made it to the third position in the country in the culture theme. Under the same smart city, the capital has secured the first rank in the country along with Chennai for clean energy. Let us tell you that Sagar has secured the second position in the country among the cities with round-3 of the City Award in the India Smart City Contest. In fact, sagar city was pitted against Dehradun, the capital of Uttarakhand, in the category of City Award in round-3 cities.

Recently, Sagar Smart City CEO Rahul Singh said, "The country's 100 smart cities competition is organized annually by the Ministry of Urban Development, Government of India. Sagar has won consecutive awards in 2019 and 2020 in this competition. I want to congratulate the citizens of Sagar city". He also said, "The criteria for this award are laid down by the Ministry of Urban Development. The participation of advisory forum for smart cities was called by Smart City Limited. The award is given on the basis of projects completed smart cities and future plans".
