Lucknow: A case of lynching of youth in Uttar Pradesh's capital Lucknow has come to light. It is being told that the youth was the former district secretary of the business meeting of the Samajwadi Party (SP). On the day of the incident, he was brutally beaten with sticks and sharp weapons. He was then admitted to the trauma centre in a critical condition, though the youth succumbed to his injuries a day later. The family members alleged that the unwell son was discharged by the hospital. The deceased was married six months ago. Police have registered a case against five persons, including two named, and further action is being taken. According to information, Rohit Yadav, a resident of the Thana PGI area of Lucknow, was called to Sector-8 market by Sachin Yadav, a resident of Revatipur. It is alleged that Sachin and his five accomplices together hurled abuses at Rohit and started beating him with sticks. Rohit was admitted to the trauma centre, where he died. A case of murder has been registered against five persons including Sachin, and Shivakumar on behalf of the family. Police are searching for the attackers. According to Police Commissioner DK Thakur, "One youth has died, he was admitted in the trauma centre, the family has alleged beating, an FIR of which has been lodged at the police station.
