Buxar: Miscreants have become unruly in Buxar, Bihar. A teacher was shot dead by criminals in Bhataulia village of Sadar block. In Jagdishpur panchayat, a 40-year-old local resident and teacher by profession Saroj Kumar Singh was killed by unidentified miscreants. The incident took place when he was leaving his home and going to school. At the same time, 3 criminals who came on an Apache motorcycle targeted him and scorched him with bullets. He fell there due to bullet injuries and died. Thereafter, the miscreants fled from the spot waving weapons.
Hearing the same gunshots, the persons who rushed to the spot picked up the teacher and rushed him to the hospital but the doctors declared him brought dead. It is being said that the deceased teacher is the brother of advocate Chittaranjan Singh, who was shot by miscreants in the year 2019. The deceased, Saroj Kumar Singh, was working as a teacher in Bhataulia Middle School.
According to the information received, Saroj Kumar Singh, a resident of Jagdishpur under the Mufassil police station area, used to run his own private school besides being a teacher in Bhataulia. On Tuesday morning, he left for school as usual. In the meantime, the criminals who had already ambushed near the door, without delay, scorched him with bullets. The villagers became agitated after the teacher's death. Villagers said that while local MP and Union Minister Ashwini Kumar Choubey has arrived in the district, Labour Minister Jivesh Mishra and Bihar Assembly Speaker Vijay Sinha are also present. In such a situation, the security of the area should be tight, but the situation remains such that the criminals easily escape from the spot by carrying out the murder. Buxar SP Neeraj Singh said that the case is being investigated and the culprits will be in custody soon.
