Ranchi: An incident of the tragic death of a 3-week-old baby boy has come to light in Jharkhand's West Singhbhum district. According to the information received from the police, it was allegedly the father of an innocent who killed his child by drowning him in a water vessel. After the incident, the criminal fled from the spot.

Now a local police officer has reported the case. As per the information received from the police officer, the criminal was having breakfast with his family at around 9 am in his house in the village called Navagaon in an inebriated state. Due to this, he had an argument with his wife about some domestic matter.

The officer said that in a fit of rage, the man picked up the child and drowned him in the pan until he lost his life. After the incident, the father fled from the spot. On receiving the information, a police team rushed to the spot and recovered the body, which was brought to Sadar Hospital at around 5.30 pm. However, the post-mortem of the body could not be conducted on Monday.
