Lucknow: The hooliganism of a Samajwadi Party (SP) leader has come to light in Uttar Pradesh's Bareilly. SP Lohia Vahini's national secretary and national shooter Samarth Mishra along with more than a dozen of his supporters barged into the Sai temple and brutally thrashed two youths. The police have registered a case of assault, abuse and murder on behalf of the victim in the case. At the Shri Shirdi Sai Sarvdev temple in the Thana Baradari area of Bareilly, SP Lohia Vahini leader Samarth Mishra along with his associates had a heated argument with his colleagues. Two devotees who had come to visit the temple were brutally beaten up with kicks and punches by SP leader Samarth Mishra and his associates. The SP leader said that the two youths had come after an accident some time ago. According to the mahant of the temple, Sushil Pathak, Samarth Mishra beat up two youths who came to the temple. Both were being accused of carrying out an accident. But how far is it right to take the law in this way in hand? Mahanta has demanded action against the SP leader who showed hooliganism on the premises of the religious place. According to him, it is not right to create such a ruckus in a place like a temple. Samarth Mishra is the leader of SP and he has also staked a claim for a ticket from Cantt Assembly. The police have also registered an FIR under sections 323, 504 and 506 of the IPC against the accused Samarth Mishra and his associates on the basis of CCTV footage and the complaint of the victim boy.
