New Delhi:  Gujarat Titans (GT) continues to perform in the Indian Premier League (IPL 2022). In the match played on Sunday, Gujarat defeated Chennai Super Kings (CSK) by three wickets. This was Gujarat's fifth win in six matches and they are at the top of the points table. Rashid Khan played a key role in Gujarat Titans' victory, who did not let regular captain Hardik Pandya miss him by playing a quick inning. Rashid Khan, who was captaining the match, scored 40 off just 21 balls with the help of three sixes and two fours. This was the best score of Rashid Khan's IPL career.

During his whirlwind innings, Rashid smashed Chris Jordan in the 18th over of the innings. In that over of Jordan, Rashid scored a total of 22 runs off the first four balls with three sixes and a four, which put the match in the court of Gujarat Titans. A total of 25 runs were scored in the 18th over bowled by Jordan. After this, Gujarat needed 23 runs in the last two overs, which they easily made. Earlier, batting first after losing the toss, CSK scored 169 runs for the loss of five wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Rituraj Gaikwad top-scored with 73 off 48 balls with the help of five sixes and as many fours. Apart from him, Ambati Rayudu scored 46 and captain Ravindra Jadeja scored an unbeaten 22 runs.

For Gujarat, Alzarri Joseph was the highest wicket-taker with two wickets. In reply, GT scored 170 runs for the loss of seven wickets with one ball to spare. For GT, David Miller scored an unbeaten 94 off 51 balls with the help of eight fours and six sixes to give the team the victory. During this time Miller along with Rashid Khan added 70 runs for the sixth wicket. For CSK, Dwayne Bravo took three wickets and Mahish Tikshna took two wickets.
