Every now and then, Bengaluru is getting surrounded by some or the other scandals. The recent being the Sandalwood drug racket case, which has clattered the Kannada film industry. In a press meet, Bengaluru Commissioner Kamal Pant revealed particulars concerning the case and the seizures that they have made so far. The commissioner said that they have been following this case for the past one month and until now, they have arrested two people. Drug Case: Actor Ragini Dwivedi detained by Central Crime Branch Giving information to the media, Commissioner Kamal Pant was quoted saying, "We have been following the drug case for the past one month. While investigating a particular case, we received information that a person working in the government department is attending high-end parties and that he has links with an actor. We came to know that he was Ravi Shankar, a clerk in Jayanagar RTO. He supplied drugs to the parties he attended. The police officials questioned him and found crucial information on his phone." Crimes branch sent notice to Ragini Dwivedi in drugs case The Commissioner also reported that the Central Crime Branch (CCB) has caught another person named Rahul in relation to the case. "Rahul is a designer and architect. Since he attended these parties, we have arrested him too," he explained. Coming to Ragini Dwivedi, he said, "She is being questioned. That's the status now. We cannot reveal more. The case is under investigation and two people (Ravi Shankar and Rahul) have been arrested in the case." When asked if this case has any link with the ongoing Bollywood drug scandal, he said, "We have not found any link. We are doing our investigation."
