Due to the investigation of Sushant Singh Rajput case in Bollywood, a drugs angle came up, which is now being investigated by the Narcotics Control Bureau. An investigation into the use of drugs in the glamour industry is also going on in the Kannada film industry. In this regard, Ragini Dwivedi, a well-known actress of Kannada film industry, has been summoned by the Central Crime Branch for questioning.

On August 21, the police caught some high profile drug peddlers, who supply drugs in the Kannada film industry. According to media reports, Ragini's friend Ravi took Ragini's name in the interrogation after the arrest. Therefore, the CCB has sent her notice and called for questioning. Questions will be asked about her relationship with the drugs racket.

According to the reports, the police had found the names of some stars and models in a diary, after which director Indrajit Lankesh revealed some names, making sensational disclosures. The police had filed Inderjeet's statement. According to Joint Commissioner of Crime Branch Sandeep Patil, CCB is working to gather evidence. Ragini had tweeted about drugs a few days ago. She wrote "Problems like drugs should be resolved soon. It is like a plague for our society". The case is being investigated by the Crime Branch.
