'Shubh parva Sankranti mela' in Allahabad;50 lakhs devotees arrived

Allahabad: Makar Sankranti fest begun at Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh today with arrival of nearly 50lakhs devotees including 'sadhus', 'kalpwasis' and common pilgrims to take holy dips in 'Maha Sangam'.

Magh mela is considered to be 'mini kumbh', which held on in the month January every year. In the whole month of January 'Bhaktjans' stay at nearby coast and take early morning bath in the river as a religious duty.Many of the visitors arrive at the day of Makar Sankranti, 14th of January.

Besides this, many of the personnel volunteers were deployed at the banks of Sangam to control the huge crowd and look for their security.
