The Union of India and the Election Commission have been issued a notice by Supreme court. It has also asked their replies in the relation of the plea seeking regulation of pension and allowances that the parliamentarians are entitled.
The notice is also issued the Secretary General of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha and they too have to reply within four weeks.
The Public Interest Litigation (PIL) filed by Uttar Pradesh-based non-profit Lok Prahari was heard by the bench.
The court as per the sources news observed that "We understand the crux and this needs to be looked into,"
