New Delhi: The Supreme Court has refused to hear prime minister Narendra Modi's demand to suspend an FIR filed against poster-makers questioning his vaccination policy. In view of the court's stand, petitioner advocate Pradeep Yadav has withdrawn the application. The court said, the convicts against whom the FIR has been registered can approach the court but the FIR cannot be adjourned on a third-party petition. It may be recalled that the case of putting up posters against Prime Minister Narendra Modi had reached the Supreme Court. A petition was filed in the Supreme Court against the Delhi Police. The petition sought suspension of FIR against those who put up posters on Prime Minister Modi over Corona. It has also been informed that the police should be asked not to file FIRs or proceedings on posters or advertisements put up questioning the vaccine. The petition has demanded that all records of these FIRs be sought from the police. Petitioner advocate Pradeep Kumar Yadav has said that the Supreme Court has already said that freedom of speech and expression cannot be forbidden. In such a situation, if one questions the vaccination policy, it cannot be dealt with as follows, because he can ask these questions. The petition said Delhi Police has registered 24 FIRs in a single day and detained innocent persons.
