Mohun Bagan declared the champion of ileague

The All India Football Federation (AIFF) executive panel on Tuesday approved the recommendations of its league committee, which called for the cancellation of the remaining 28 matches of the Ileague due to the Coronavirus, and Mohun Bagan on top. He was declared the champion. "The Executive Committee agrees with the League Committee's recommendations that these are unforeseen circumstances and the AIFF and all stakeholders should focus on the safety and health aspects of players, officials and fans on a priority basis," the AIFF release said.

He said, "There is still no clarity as to when other sports activities, including football, will resume across the country." The league committee had made its recommendations before the executive committee on Saturday.  Mohun Bagan was declared the winner of the 2019-20 season.

The remaining prize money of the league (excluding the prize money of champions) will be distributed in equal proportion among the remaining 10 competing clubs. However, no team will play in the lower league and no individual prize money will be given for the league season. Also, all the youth leagues of the current season will be considered finished and there will be a new league in the 2020-21 season.
