NEW DELHI: A hearing was held in the Supreme Court on Friday over the removal of Section 370 from Jammu and Kashmir. The court adjourned the hearing on Section 370 during this period. Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi has asked for a fresh petition. The apex court today heard two petitions. The first petition opposed the removal of Section 370. On the other hand, the petition was filed, seeking the removal of the government's control over the media in Kashmir. Sharma has filed the first petition stating that the government has removed Section 370 and arbitrary, the Central government did not follow the parliamentary path, the President's order is unconstitutional. Hearing ML Sharma's plea, CJI Gogoi reprimanded what kind of petition it was. I don't understand. He asked what kind of relief the petitioner would like. The second petition was filed by Anuradha Bhasin, editor of the Kashmir Times. The petition said that the control imposed on journalists should be abolished after Section 370 was abolished from Jammu and Kashmir. Hearing a petition filed earlier, the apex court had said that the Jammu and Kashmir issue is highly sensitive and the Centre will have to give some time.
