Sega's game gear launch with four color variants

Sega has now revealed full details of its announced Game Gear micro portable console - or, I should say, the Console S. It turns out that the four colour variants are different systems. Apart from that, there are four different games in each of which. All of which is no doubt an attempt to drive collectors to buy.

Comes with a black model

Sonic the Hedgehog Puyo Puyo 2 run out Royal stone

Blue version includes

Sound chaos Gunstar heroes Sylvan tale Baku Baku Animals

Yellow game gear is in the micro

Shining Force Gayden: Anse - Jasheen no Kuni She Rise Force: Hajj's Sword Shining Force Gayden: Final Comfort Nazo Puyo Aruru Na Ru

Red version preloaded

Revelation: Demon Slayer Megami Tensei Guiden: The Last Bible Special GG Shinobi Column

The hardware itself is 80mm x 43mm x 20mm with a 1.15-inch display. For your information, let us have a single mono speaker and a headphone jack. It charges over USB but can turn off two AAA batteries. Also, you might be wondering how exactly you are meant to play the game on a 1.15-inch display, which makes the Game Boy Micro's 2-inch panel heavier by comparison.

Also if you're ready to drop 27,255 yen (~ $ 250) on a packet of all four consoles, Sega is including a mini version of its Big Window Magnifying-Glass accessory. It is the same company that released non-functional plastic Sega CDs and 32X add-ons for the Mega Drive Mini. What is a more appropriate way to celebrate its 60th anniversary? The Game Gear micro-consoles are now available individually for all in Japan for 4,980 yen (~ $ 50) and will ship on October 6. No word yet on a western release.
