Mumbai: The stock market opened with the green mark on Monday due to positive signals from Asian markets. The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) 's major index Sensex today climbed 219 points to open at 39,073. Nifty opened at 11,540 with a strength of 76 points. The Sensex reached 39,227 with an edge of 373 points at 09:30 in the morning. During today's trading, Reliance's share reached its all-time high level of Rs 2360. In fact, Reliance Industries ' retail business is now receiving reports of investment of $2 billion, i.e., about Rs 15000 crore by private equity firm Carlyle Group. However, Reliance and Carlyle have not yet made any official statement on this. The major shares in the business so far included Reliance, HCL Tech, Infosys, SBI, Zee Entertainment and Tata Motors, while the major breakdown shares were named Maruti, Sun Pharma, Hindustan Unilever, etc. Sector-wise, it, MidCap, banking, SmallCap sector were found to be doing business in green markings. Earlier, the stock markets were flat on Friday amid lack of mixed trend of international markets.
