Delhi AIIMS server hacked for 1 week, patients are also facing problems with staff

New Delhi: The server of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in the country's capital Delhi was hacked on Wednesday (November 23). Now hackers have demanded Rs 200 crore as cryptocurrency from Delhi AIIMS management. After this demand came to light, the investigating agencies are on alert mode. According to reports, data of 3-4 crore patients may be leaked after the server of Delhi AIIMS is hacked.  

Let us know that, since the server was hacked, patients are facing a lot of problems. The entire work at AIIMS is now being done manually. Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (ICERT), Delhi Police, and Home Ministry teams are engaged in detecting the ransomware attack on AIIMS servers. In this case, the Intelligence Fusion and Strategic Operations (IFSO) unit of Delhi Police registered a case of extortion and cyber terrorism on Friday (November 25). Officials say that the internet has been shut down on all computers related to hospitals at the behest of the investigating agencies investigating the case. Aiims servers also have data of many VIP patients. It also includes many big officials including former PM, minister, etc.

Experts from the National Information Centre (NIC), which is engaged in getting AIIMs servers out of the reach of hackers, have successfully recovered the e-hospital database and application server for the time being. Four servers were created to restore e-hospital services. These servers have been scanned and developed for databases and applications. The NIC team is also engaged in fixing other hospital servers of AIIMS. For this, all servers are being scanned. These servers are very important for the restoration of services in AIIMS Hospital.
