CHANDIGARH: In an upcoming event set for July 28, 2023, Punjab's Chief Minister, Bhagwant Mann, will personally deliver service-confirming letters to a total of 12,500 contractual teachers currently employed within the Education Department. This significant move comes as a relief to these teachers who have been working tirelessly on meager salaries for an extended period. Harjot Singh Bains, the School Education Minister, emphasized that Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is overseeing all aspects concerning the confirmation of services for contractual employees in Punjab's education sector. The event aims to regularize the positions of these teachers, providing them with a much-needed sense of job security. During the event, copies of orders pertaining to service confirmation will be handed over to the Education Providers, Special Inclusive Teachers (ETT, NTT, and BED), and I.E. volunteers. This initiative signifies a crucial step towards recognizing the efforts of these educators and solidifying their commitment to the education system in Punjab. The distribution of service confirming letters will mark a significant moment of appreciation and acknowledgment for their dedicated service to the community.
