Shahnawaz, Sahni set to win Bihar MLCs election

Patna: Bjp leader and former Union Minister Shahnawaz Hussain and VIP chief and Animal and Fisheries Resources Minister Mukesh Sahni filed their nomination papers on Monday in the bye-election to the Bihar Legislative Council (MLC) for two seats. Shahnawaz Hussain has filled up the nomination from the seat vacated by former deputy CM Sushil Kumar Modi's Rajya Sabha, whose tenure will continue till May 6, 2024.

Even before Sushil Modi left Bhagalpur Lok Sabha seat in the year 2006, Shahnawaz had become a candidate in the bye-election and also recorded a victory. Mukesh Sahni has filled the nomination in the seat vacated by former minister Vinod Narayan Jha's MLA. The term will continue till 21st July 2022. No further nominations have been filed for both seats. Therefore, the victory of the two leaders is being decided.

Let us say that the certificate will be given to both the leaders on the day of withdrawal on 21st January. Besides CM Nitish Kumar, other leaders and supporters including both deputy CM Tarkishore Prasad and Renu Devi, minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary and Mangal Pandey, BJP state president Sanjay Jaiswal, MP Sushil Kumar Modi were present on the occasion.
