Shameful: A woman was gang raped and labeled with cigarettes in Andhra Pradesh

In yet another shocking and shameful incident a 35-year-old woman who worked as a labored was gang raped by four-man. The incident took place in the Penamaluru area of Vijayawada city on Friday.

As per the information the woman was allegedly gang-raped by four men in Andra Pradesh’s Krishna district. The rape survivor is a daily wage laborer and is a resident of Vijaywada. The victim was taken to a room in Sanath Nagar on the outskirts of the city by the accused. They take the woman on the pretext of offering her some work at their place.

When the woman reached the place with the accused they were also made to drink alcohol by the accused. After this the four accused raped the woman. The rape survivor was held captive in the room and was also branded with cigarettes. The victim somehow managed to escape from the room. She also sustained serious injuries. She is currently undergoing treatment at the Vijayawada Government Hospital.

The victim also filed a complaint against the four accuses. Police have registered the case and started investigating into the matter. After receiving the complaint, the police immediately swung into action. Three accused have been arrested so far. A search operation has been launched to arrest the fourth accused.

This is not the first case these types of incidents are increasing day by day. Earlier in a similar incident took place in Punjab's Mohali where a nurse was raped by two men on the intervening night of December 13 and 14 when she was returning to home. She saved herself by jumping off the autorickshaw.
