New Delhi: Several countries have extended their hand to help amid the growing infection of corona virus in India. Ventilators, oxygen equipment and medicines are being transported to India from different countries. Amidst all this, many cricket players are also coming forward to help in this epidemic. After Sachin Tendulkar, Brett Lee and Pat Cummins, Shikhar Dhawan, West Indies batsman Nicholas Pooran and IPL team Punjab Kings have decided to contribute their part in fighting the corona transition.

India's opening batsman Shikhar Dhawan took to Twitter to inform that he would donate Rs 20 lakh for oxygen supply and whatever cash prize he would get for his good performance in the upcoming matches will also be donated through Mission Oxygen. Dhawan wrote, "Over the years, I have received a lot of love and cooperation from the people of this country. I am deeply grateful for this. Now it is my turn to do something to help the people of this country".

Dhawan also thanked the frontline workers and advised people to follow the covid protocols. Apart from Shikhar Dhawan, West Indies left-handed batsman Nicholas Puran has also expressed his desire to help India fight the Chinese corona virus infection. He said he wants to give a portion of IPL's salary as awareness and financial help as his contribution. Punjab Kings will provide assistance for oxygen concentraters through an organization called Round Table India. With this, Rajasthan Royals will donate Rs 7.5 crore to fight the epidemic, while Delhi Capitals has announced a donation of Rs 1.5 crore.
