Shivraj government gave great news to pensioners, they will get huge benefits

Bhopal: In view of the upcoming assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh, the Shivraj government has given good news to the pensioners of the state. The government has decided that pension will be eligible even if departmental and judicial proceedings are pending at the time of retirement. It will be sanctioned by the head of the Provisional Pension Office equivalent to the maximum pension admissible on the basis of qualifying service.

The Shivraj Government has decided that if the government service is suspended pending departmental or judicial proceedings till the date of retirement, then the qualifying service period till the date before suspension will be taken for calculation of provisional pension. The state government has amended the Madhya Pradesh Civil Services (Pension) Rules 1976 in an order issued on May 19, 2023. These amendments have been established in place of Rule 64, which will be deemed to be effective from December 12, 1990.

Provisional pension will be paid to the retired government employee by the head of the office for a period starting from the date of retirement and ending with departmental or judicial proceedings till the date of passing of the final order by the officer. On completion of departmental or judicial proceedings, no gratuity amount will be paid until the final order is issued. Former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister and Congress president Kamal Nath has said that the BJP government in Madhya Pradesh had taken away the right to live after retirement from government employees by discontinuing the old pension scheme. Now as soon as the Congress government is formed in Madhya Pradesh, we will implement the old pension scheme and give a life of dignity to the employees.
