Shivraj government to give honorarium to pandits of Madhya Pradesh

Bhopal: The BJP government headed by Shivraj Singh Chauhan of Madhya Pradesh has allocated Rs 8 crore to pay honorarium to the monasteries and priests. ACS Manoj Srivastava of the Department of Religion, taking cognizance of the problems of the priests, has issued the order. Actually, it is becoming very difficult to run the cost of temples due to the closure of the temples during the lockdown implemented to prevent the infection of coronavirus.

Along with this, the temple priests were facing a lot of problems due to the absence of donations, dakshina and offerings. It is noteworthy that former CM Kamal Nath wrote a letter to CM Shivraj Singh Chauhan on Wednesday demanding the alimony of priests. Kamal Nath had said, 'All temples are closed due to lockdown, due to which devotees are not coming here to visit. There is also no offering in temples.

Kamal Nath further said that due to this, the daily expenses of the priests are not able to run even. That is why the state government should pay Rs 5,000 every month for worship in small and big monasteries, while the priests should give Rs 7500 per month for financial help. ' This suggestion of Kamal Nath has been approved by the Shivraj government.
