Amritsar: Celebrations have begun across the country to mark the 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev, the founder of Sikhism and the first Sikh religious teacher. The gurudwaras are decorated and there are continuous kirtans going on here. The birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev is celebrated as Prakash Parv, which is on 12 November this year.
