In the ongoing World Badminton Championships, the Indian players PV Sindhu, Saina Nehwal and Kidambi Srikanth won their respective matches to book their place in the quarterfinals. Sindhu defeated Hong Kong's Cheung Ngan by 19-21, 23-21, 21-17 in a clash that lasted for an hour and a half. It is going to be Sindhu's fourth consecutive quarterfinal appearance at the World Championships. Saina thrashed Sung Ji Hyun of Korea by 21-19, 21-15. In next round, she will be facing either Scotland's Kirsty Gilmour or China's He Bingjiao. In the men's category, Srikanth beat Anders Antonsen of Denmark by 21-14, 21-18 in a clash that lasted 42 minutes.
