SINEAD O’CONNOR GOT ATTACKED

Sinead O’Connor has stepped forth with allegations that Prince once attacked her in his Hollywood mansion.

Speaking on Tuesday (18 May), the Irish singer described a violent confrontation with Prince, during a visit to his Hollywood mansion. Her account allegedly took place after O’Connor found success with her cover of Prince’s Nothing Compares 2 U.

O’Connor claims Prince “summoned her to his macabre Hollywood mansion, chastised her for swearing in interviews, harangued his butler to serve her soup though she repeatedly refused it, and sweetly suggested a pillow fight only to thump her with something hard he’d slipped into his pillowcase.”

She claimed that after “escaping on foot” in the middle of the night on foot, Prince “stalked her with his car, leapt out and chased her around the highway.”

“Prince is the type of artist who is hailed as crazy-in-a-good-way, as in, ‘You’ve got to be crazy to be a musician’,” O’ Connor said. “But there’s a difference between being crazy and being a violent abuser of women.”

The comments made by O’Connor echo ones she made back in 2007 in an interview with The Mirror. “He invited me to his house in Los Angeles and started to give out to me for swearing in interviews,” She said at the time. “When I told him to go fuck himself, he got very upset and became quite threatening, physically. I ended up having to escape.”

She added: “He can pack a punch. A few blows were exchanged. All I could do was spit. I spat on him quite a bit.”

Back in 2018, Prince’s ex-wife Mayte Garcia rebutted O’Conner’s claims of the pop star’s violent tendencies. She told that Prince was never violent with her and never witnessed him being violent with anyone, man or woman.
