Researchers have found that a simple app can be an effective way to help these patients take their medication for a prescribed duration, reducing the risk of premature death.

Once a heart attack occurs, patients are again given medicines to prevent it. However, in the first 30 days after discharge from the hospital, one in four patients stop taking at least one medicine. Due to this problem, the chances of re-hospitalization and risk of death before the time increases. Currently, there is no simple and cost effective strategy to improve its adherence.
