Smuggler arrested with brown sugar worth 2 crores in Bihar's Gaya, drug smuggling links connecting with Gujarat

Patna: The trend of high-level drugs like heroin, cocaine and brown sugar may be common in metros like Delhi-Mumbai, but drug addicts in Bihar used to make do with ganja. But, now the trend seems to have changed. Now the air of metro cities has started spreading in small towns also. Bihar Police has arrested a drug smuggler in Gaya with one kilo of brown sugar. It has been told that the smuggler had brought this goods worth 2 crores from Gujarat. Now the police is probing the connection of drug smuggling from Gujarat to Mumbai. 

Let us tell you that Gaya is a very important center of Hinduism and Buddhism and because of this there is always a crowd of tourists from India and abroad. Brown sugar is being consumed by foreign tourists or Gaya's nobles are consuming it, it will be clear only after the police investigation. Presently arrested smuggler Vivek Kumar has informed the police that brown sugar was given to him by his relative working in a pharmaceutical company in Ankleshwar, Gujarat to deliver it to the local market in Gaya. 

This pharmaceutical company of Ankleshwar is accused of manufacturing and consuming drugs illegally on a large scale. Let us tell you that, a few days ago Mumbai Police raided the company, then 513 kg of brown sugar was recovered, which was worth more than 1000 crores. Gaya's SSP Ashish Bharti has told that the input of drug smuggling was received, after which the police laid siege. 4 smugglers were riding on two bikes, out of which three fled on seeing the police, but one smuggler was arrested along with both the bikes. Now forensic investigation of his mobile is being done, through which the police will try to reach those who sell and buy drugs in the country.
