World Championship silver medallist Kidambi Srikanth has managed to book his place in the semi-finals of the Swiss Open Super 300 badminton tournament by winning in three games against world number three Anders Antonsen of Denmark. The 7th-ranked Srikanth has defeated Antonsen 21.19, 19.21, 22.20. He is now going to face fourth seeded Asian Games gold medalist Jonathan Christie. Earlier, PV Sindhu and HS Prannoy also managed to advance to the semi-finals. Srikanth has started off brilliantly to take a lead of 9.1 but Antonsen has levelled the score with 11 points. In a close contest, Srikanth has won the first game. In the second game, Srikanth took a lead of 9.6 but Antonsen made a comeback to score 15.12 and won the game and has also won the match in the decisive game.
