Seven students who had left for their homes on foot had lost their way in the forest between Pol village and Radi. One student of which Anuj Semwal has died. It was told that Anuj's health had worsened due to cold. Due to which he died during treatment.
According to information received from the sources, the disaster management team went on a search for these students as soon as the information was received on Friday. However, he was being contacted over the phone. At the same time, after a lot of effort on the night itself, the team found all the missing students. From where Anuj was taken to Barkot Hospital, but died there. Deepak, a resident of Chinyalisaur, a student of Barkot ITI, said that he was returning to his home on Friday due to snowfall.
If no vehicle was found from Barkot, then he walked on foot. At the same time it is being said that due to the closure of Yamunotri Highway Radi Top, he could not find any vehicle from Barkot, then he started walking towards Uttarkashi at 12 o'clock. Due to heavy snow laying in the path of the forest, they lost the way. He got caught somewhere in the forest of Muralta between Pol village and Radi Top. With no village or population nearby, they could not get shelter.
