Vaccination drive to begin in Uttarakhand from May 1

The vaccination drive, which begins on May 1 in the state, is being supported by students from NCC and NSS. This is what The Minister of State for Higher Education, Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat said at a virtual meeting of officials of the Department of Higher Education that a place is also going to be provided in colleges and colleges if required.

The Minister of State for Higher Education said that in the earlier Cabinet meeting chaired by CM Tirath Singh Rawat, it has been decided to administer the free covid vaccine to all people in the age-old age of 18 to 45 years in the state. The process of registration for the same has been initiated by the Government. He said that to make the campaign a success, space will be provided for vaccination centers in government and private colleges, government colleges, and private educational institutions. On the other hand, the District Administration and Health Ministry have been allowed to take up the service of NCC cadets and NSS volunteers as per rules.

The Minister of State for Higher Education said that NCC cadets and NSS volunteers who have taken cooperation from them will be vaccinated first. They will be assisted in the work only after obtaining consent from their parents. He said that all the 106 Government Colleges and all universities in the State have been connected with the 4G network service so that students can study online. The meeting was attended by Vice-Chancellor Prof. P.P. Dhyani, Prof. N.S. Bhandari, Prof. N.K. Joshi, Prof. Surekha Dangwal, Director Higher Education Dr. Kumkum Rautela, Director General of Health Dr. Preeti Bahuguna, Rusa In-charge Dr. AS Uniyal, Assistant Director Dr. D.C. Goswami, Dr. Deepak Pandey, etc.
