Today is the death anniversary of Neta Ji Subhas Chandra Bose. It was exactly 76 years ago, 18 August 1945. Japan lost World War II. The British were after Netaji. In view of this, he made up his mind to seek help from Russia. On August 18, 1945, he flew towards Manchuria. After that, no one noticed him again. Five days later, Tokyo Radio reported that the plane Netaji was traveling crashed near Taihoku airport. Netaji was badly burnt in the accident. He passed away at Taihoku Sainik Hospital. The rest of the people on board also died along with them. Even today, his ashes are kept at the Rankoji Temple in Tokyo. Even after 76 years of Netaji's death, his death remains a mystery. Three committees were formed to find out the truth about his death. Two said Netaji died in a plane crash. In 1999, the third Commission was formed in the name of Manoj Kumar Mukherjee. The Commission's report quoted the Taiwanese government as saying that there was no plane crash in 1945. There is no record of this plane crash. However, the government had not accepted the report. Even after Netaji's death, there were claims of his sighting in many parts of the country. From Gumnami Baba in Faizabad to his sighting in Chhattisgarh. In Chhattisgarh, the case went to the state government but the government refused to intervene in the matter. After the death of Gumnami Baba, who is claimed to be Netaji, he received photographs of Netaji's family, articles related to Netaji in journals, letters from several important people, Shahnawaz commission set up to investigate Netaji's alleged death, and Khosla commission report.
