Vijayavada: On January 8, four members of a family allegedly committed suicide in a suicide pact, with two taking injections and the remaining jumping into the Krishna River in Vijayawada. Puppala Suresh (57), P. Sri Latha (49), P. Akhil (24) and P. Ashish (26), all from Telangana's Nizamabad district, were among the victims. According to West Zone Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) K. Hanumantha Rao, the family arrived in Vijayawada on January 6 to see Goddess Kanakadurga and checked into Sri Kanyaka Parameswari Choultry. "Sri Latha and Ashish's bodies were found in the chamber, while Suresh and Akhil are said to have jumped into the Krishna River. One Town CI P. Venkateshwarlu said, "The bodies were retrieved from the waterways." "The motives for taking such a drastic measure were not immediately apparent. Mr. Hanumantha Rao stated, "We have transferred the remains to the Government General Hospital (GGH) mortuary for autopsy and information has been given on to the relatives." Suresh had a medical shop, and his sons leased a petrol bunk, according to the preliminary investigation. According to the ACP, they checked into Room No. 312 two days ago.
