Supreme Court refuses to postpone Tripura election

New Delhi: Tripura's local body elections will not be postponed by the Supreme Court. The Tripura government provided extensive information about court security. Justice Chandrachud stated that he is taking Tripura's information into consideration. The court has ordered the Trinamool Congress (TMC) to postpone the polls, claiming that doing so would set a bad precedent. The DGP has guaranteed the Supreme Court that no political party will be barred from campaigning. The cops are providing enough security to all parties' delegates.

He told the court that all security arrangements had been established in the state. The central government has deployed a paramilitary force, according to Tripura's state counsel before the Supreme Court. In light of the security situation in Tripura, the TMC has asked the court to postpone the body elections for one week.

TMC, on the other side, mentioned the state's CRPF company shortfall. He posted whatever was on the internet at the time. The Supreme Court stated that we cannot order the immediate evacuation of CRPF units from Jammu and Kashmir. The Supreme Court stated that the state government would be asked to produce compliance reports by May 25 and that the case will be heard again on May 25.
