Ayodhya case: Arbitration Failed, daily hearing from August 6

NEW DELHI: Supreme Court has taken a major decision on Friday while hearing the Ayodhya case. The Supreme Court has determined that the case will be heard every day from August 6. The hearing will be held in an open court. The apex court said during the hearing on Friday that there was no result of mediation.

The Supreme Court, while hearing on Friday, dissolved the mediation committee set up in the Ayodhya Ram Janmabhoomi dispute case. The Ayodhya case will be decided before November 17, 2019. The head of the Constitutional Bench, that is, the CJI, is retiring. So this decision may come before their retirement. The case will now be heard daily from August 6. There will be a continuous hearing in the case on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays except for Monday and Friday.

On Thursday, the arbitration committee submitted the final report in a sealed cover to the Supreme Court. The apex court had earlier said that there will be a hearing every day if there is no mutually agreed solution. The decision was taken by a Constitutional bench headed by Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi. The bench comprising Justices SA Bobde, Justice DY Chandrachud, Justice Ashok Bhushan and Justice SA Nazir.
