A complaint has been made to the Surat Municipal Corporation Commissioner on behalf of the SMC Employees Union chief regarding the incident. According to which women employees were shocked when they reached Surat Municipal Corporation-run hospital for their compulsory fitness test. The gate in that room was also not closed properly and only a curtain was installed to prevent anyone from seeing inside. Unmarried women present there were asked if they had ever become pregnant.
