Muzaffarpur: Even after liquor ban in Bihar, smugglers are trafficking in illegal liquor business. Now in Gopalganj district, the excise department has caught a large consignment of liquor being concealed in the Bolero during a vehicle search. At the same time, three smugglers seized liquor have also been arrested. According to the arrested smugglers, they were coming to Gopalganj with a consignment of liquor from Salemgarh, bordering Uttar Pradesh.
Here, he had to hand over this consignment to the smuggler named Jitendra Patel, from where on-demand home delivery was done. This action has been taken by the excise department at the Balthri check-post of Kuchayakot. Excise inspector Deepak Kumar has said that all vehicles were being checked at the Balthi checkpost along the UP border at Kuchayakot. At the same time, he received secret information that a consignment of illicit liquor was being carried in a Bolero.
On this information, three people present in it were intercepted by stopping a Bolero coming from UP border. During interrogation, the three men told about bringing liquor on the Bolero. After this, when the Bolero was searched, 18 and a half carton of UP-made liquor was recovered from it. Which was confiscated by the police and arrested the three people.
