Patna: The State Level Bankers Committee, the SLBC review meeting, has revealed that loans have been disbursed less in some districts of Bihar. Bihar CM Nitish Kumar was also scheduled to attend the meeting but could not attend the all-party meeting in Delhi. Several important decisions relating to farmers were taken at the meeting. The meeting was held through video conferencing to bank representatives from various districts of Bihar. Representatives of all public sector banks attended the meeting. During the meeting, Bihar Finance Minister Sushil Modi has set a target of disbursing one lakh 45 thousand crore rupees of loans to banks during 2019-20. Finance Minister Sushil Modi has categorically said that those who need loans should not be allowed to lend to banks. In 12 districts of the state, less loans have been disbursed to the needy. These include Banka, Siwan, Madhubani districts.
