Chennai : A 29-year-old resident of Athanadamaruthur village near Tirukovilur in Villupuram district of Tamil Nadu has been arrested by the police. The man buried his 17-day-old daughter alive. According to police, this was his second attempt to kill the girl. Earlier, when the girl was three days old, he tried to kill the girl, but the relatives stopped. The accused is a farmer in Vadamaruthur village. From then, they lived on their farm at Athanadamaruthur. Varadarajan was annoyed when Soundarya gave birth to a daughter in Jipmar Hospital in 17 Puducherry. At 12.30 on Tuesday morning, when Soundarya fell asleep after feeding the baby, Varadarajan took the girl to the foothills of Khenpannai. This place is located 500 meters away from his house. Here he dug a pit and buried the girl alive. When Soundarya woke up at four in the morning, she was shocked not to find her daughter and shouted for help. Young man entered the girl's house at night and did a heartbreaking work When Varadarajan confessed his crime, his relatives and villagers informed the Tirukovilur police. The body of the girl was taken out in front of the police. The accused told the police that he was confident that he would have a son. Varadarajan told his wife and relatives that if a daughter was born to him, he would not keep her with him. But the family turned against him.
